House Jerbiton is one of the twelve Houses of Hermes. It is a Societas whose members are concerned with the mundane world: typically the arts, but also scholarship and politics (though the latter interest goes somewhat against the spirit of the Code of Hermes). Its domus magna is Valnastium, in the Greater Alps Tribunal.
House Jerbiton tries to recruit apprentices from the noble classes. The House’s members often have the Gentle Gift so they can more easily socialize with mundanes. Note that these are tendencies or trends, not universal characteristics of the House.
Recently a new generation of Apprentices has begun to complete there gauntlets the so called ‘Antigones’ all trained since the House’s great shame, the fall of Constantinople. They favor a proactive approached to what they see the failing of civilization. They eschew the more passive and indirect methods of the forebears and more cynical observers see them as a mass breech of the Code waiting to happen.
