The Theban tribunal
The Tribunal of Thebes roughly covers the area controlled by the Byzantine Empire around 800, excluding its Italian possessions, but including Greece along with Macedonia, Thrace and most of Asia Minor. Boundaries have been contested at times.
The Tribunal is unusual in Hermetic Society for it’s adherence to Romaic Greek as the language of choice rather than Latin and the application of Greek democratic principles. This has led to unique interpretations and usages of the Code of Hermes.
